BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
All Bookings are made subject to these terms and conditions. Please note carefully our policies before booking.
Special One-off Classes & Workshops
Prices as advertised for each individual tutor
Full payment must be made at time of booking to guarantee a class place. No booking without payment.
Paid bookings are not transferable to another class.
Payment may be made in-store or over the phone by Visa or Mastercard. Direct bank deposit is also possible. Please phone for details.
To help prevent class cancellations, students are encouraged to register early.
Most classes have a minimum number of students required to go ahead.
Your requirements list will only be provided upon full payment or 2 weeks before the date of class.
We understand that plans do sometimes need to change but please keep in mind that class fees are NOT REFUNDABLE unless a class is cancelled by us. However, class places may be transferred to a friend.
Transferring a Class Place
If your plans change and you know you will be unable to attend a class that you have paid for, we do allow you to transfer that place to a friend. In this case, you will need to arrange your own reimbursement, if necessary, from that friend.
Please advise Quarter Inch right away of any transfers so that all class requirements and information can be passed on to the replacement attendee.
Class Waiting Lists
Always approach Quarter Inch if you cannot attend with as much notice as you can! Occasionally there is a waiting list and someone might be keen to step in for you as a transfer.
Remember that even though we may fill your place in class with a wait listed attendee, we do not provide refunds for class fees. We would instead issue you with a credit note to the value of your class fees.
Casual Sit & Sew Days
$5 per hour Including 1 cafe coffee
Please book in by phone or in person before class to ensure classroom space is available. These days are popular and can over fill.
Payment for casual sit and sew classes is not required in advance. Payment on the day is fine.
Regular day Classes
$10 per hour (including 1 cafe coffee)
Classes are as advertised and dates for each group are listed on the class page calendar so you can keep track of the weeks. Class places are limited to 10. To confirm your place in class you need to book and pay in advance. (This is to ensure that the tutor’s costs are covered regardless of attendance fluctuations.) It is not possible to pay week by week and fees are non-refundable but are transferable to a friend.
Regular Evening Classes
$10 per hour (including 1 cafe coffee or voucher)
Classes are fortnightly in school term and dates for each group are listed on the class page calendar so you can keep track of the weeks.
Class places are limited to 10. To confirm your place in class, you need to book and pay in advance. (This is to ensure that the tutor’s costs are covered regardless of attendance fluctuations.)
Requirements and Extras
Many classes will require a pattern or book to be purchased.
A Requirements list will be given on payment at time of booking or two weeks before event.
A 10% discount will be offered when class requirements are purchased in-store at Quarter Inch. Staff are happy to spend time assisting prior to the class with your requirements.
Full kits will be available for some classes - these will sometimes be optional and other classes will be compulsory for a positive class experience for all students. Costs will be advised before booking.
Children must be booked into lessons for the term and full term fees must be paid in advance to confirm attendance.
Children’s term fees are non refundable and do not include make up lessons.
A minimum number of students is required for classes to go ahead. Put your name on a waitlist.
A Note on Terms and Conditions
We are sure you understand that these policies are to make sure that class tutors’ costs are always covered and that no class places are wasted.Loyalty cards do not apply for class costs.
