Welcome to our Fourth project for 2023 - Crossed charms

If you're new here and just joining in, thankyou and welcome to a journey of completed quilts! Yes I say completed because the idea of this program is that the projects are so simple you can complete them in a day and you will actually finish something!  Whilst also getting to indulge in beautiful fabrics - those charm packs and ranges of fabrics that you just cannot resist.

This project is simple, contemporary and oh so appropriate. You can make as I have or add borders to make it larger.

Here you will choose which fabric line you love the most that we have curated for this project - we have several options and have tried to choose something to suit everyone's tastes. But there are only so many of each so first in gets the worm in this case.  You will see how many are left as stock gets low of each so choose quickly.

For this quilt you need your charm pack - one coordinating fabric, which we've called Sashing and a binding fabric. We've also selected some great widebacks to choose from. Note: if you choose a wideback it may also work for the binding using the leftovers)

Crossed Charms

Quilt measures 45" x 45"

This is our Eighth simple project - Crossed Charms - and includes one secondary/sashing fabric. 
This quilt  requires only one extra fabric from your stash (plus backing and binding) or we've included our suggestions here. If you'd like it larger feel free to add some outer borders. For a 6" finished outer border you would need another 33" of fabric bringing it to a 57" square quilt size.  And my full colour pattern will give you the quickest, simplest and most accurate methods and tips to make it. 

Extra quilt requirements:

52” /1.3m sashing fabric

13”/35cm binding fabric
52” x 52“/1.3x1.3m batting and backing fabric
(includes 8" extra for a longarmer)

We have selected some coordinating options to match each charm pack for the secondary and binding fabrics. We used a Moda ciel blue from the La Grande Soiree range for our sashings and a Le Grande Soiree charm pack to make our sample. Our binding was the Grunge Romance fabric by Moda.

            Add the extra fabric products to your cart below and then select the colour you'd like to match the charm pack you chose. Note: You just choose '1' for the amount.

Backing fabrics

We have chosen some backing fabrics that will work well with the charm packs. As they are all widebacks if you order "1"  then there will be plenty for a commercial quilter as well.  We are cutting and sending 52" - enough for yourself or for a longarmer. Note: there will be enough leftover for binding if you choose to use it.
