Maaoupe Road row by row BOM Stitchery version

Thanks for joining us in our row by row of the Month journey down Maaoupe Road - stitchery version.
Our quilt pattern has been designed by Helen Stubbings of Hugs ‘n Kisses and uses her signature turned edge applique technique and HNK Applique paper and simple embroidery stitches as desired.
There are eight rows in the quilt project.

Once all rows are completed, there will be finishing instructions to  complete the quilt using a Quilt as you go method or a standard quilt top method. Requirements are given for
QAYG method.

This quilt has been designed specifically to use the Creating memories Tilda collection but can be made with any collection from your stash. 
You can see our applique version made from the Summer Ocean Blues colourway.

The pattern also includes laser cut custom sets of templates - these are cut from our Applique paper and saves you printing and/or tracing and cutting your applique templates for the two rows of scallops.
EPP iron-on 1” hexies are also included in each month pattern pack along with layout guides and cutting instructions. Iron on transfers are included for all 8 panels. A General Instructions booklet will come with your first month , and a finishing/construction booklet with month 8.

You can choose from one of the four seasons in the collection OR  reds/pinks or pastels  - which are a mix of seasons.  

The fabric kits include: 5" of all colourways in the season of choice, All linen background fabrics, HNK stitchery stabiliser, Peeper and binding fabrics. It does not include batting and backing  fabric.

Our stitchery version kits do not include threads as you will all have your own preference of threads to use and stitches to use to complete the panels. We estimate at least 2-3 skeins of stranded floss will be required for each row depending on the stitches you choose to use.  We have several thread ranges to choose from including Cosmo Stranded and Cosmo seasons threads, Cottage Garden stranded threads, Presencia Finca #16 wt Perles and Wonderfil Spaghetti 12 wt threads.

The quilt is designed to be made ’scrappy’.  All backgrounds are a single linen fabric and applique and EPP are randomly chosen from the 16 Tilda fabrics.

The block instructions are simple - you will need a mild level of quilting experience in embrioidery, applique and english paper piecing, but we take you through every step of the way.
