Posy Etiquette

This classic table runner or mantle runner is made using the Colourqué® technique of coloured pencil on fabric. Using just three fabrics in your chosen colours, it is easier than it looks and is fun to do. 

Requirements: 

 - 60” x 20”/1.5 x .5m of white background fabric such as prepared for dying or quality homespun  - you may be able to find an extra wide fabric in which case
you only need 20”/.5m

 - 60” x 20” / 1.5m x .5m of patterned border fabric - or 20”/.5m if you are happy to have joins in your appliqué. Appliqué thread to match 

 - 4”/10cm piece of plain fabric for green appliqué. Applqué thread to match 

 - 20”/.5m batting and backing fabric 

 - 10”/25cm binding fabric 

 - Presencia Finca Perle #16 thread: 4428, 1984 - or two colours to match your chosen fabrics 

 - Derwent Artist pencils: 1630 Ash Rose, 4120 Fir Green, 4140 Distant Green, 6460 Burnt Rose 

 - Folk Art textile medium and small paintbrush 

 - Sheet of 600 grit wet n dry paper 

 - #7/8 Crewel needle 

 - Appliqué needle 

 - 6-8” embroidery hoop 

 - Hugs 'n Kisses Applique Paper 

 - Sewline Glue pen and Sewline ceramic pencil 

 - General sewing and patchwork supplies
